Sam Lewis was a Division One basketball player at Fairfield University from 2017-2022. During her career she played a key role in bringing the university their first conference championship and March Madness appearance since 1998. Below is a list of highlights from her career.

- Fairfield University/MAAC Single Game Three Point Record (11)
- Ranked 5th in Country in 3PFG% 2020-21 (46.1%)
- Led MAAC in 3PFG% 2020-21 (46.1%)
- 2021-22 MAAC Sixth Player of the Year
- 2021-22 MAAC Champion

At Beyond the Arc, we develop our athletes both on and off the court. During her five years as a student-athlete, Sam was also able to achieve great success in the classroom as well. Below is a list of highlights from her academic career. 

- 5x MAAC All-Academic Team
- 3 Degrees in 5 Years
- Bachelors in Psychology
- Masters in Elementary Education
- Masters in Business Management
- DSB Recognition of Distinguished Academic Achievement
- Big Brother Big Sisters Mentor

Prior to college, Sam played for Howard High School in Maryland, where she holds the record for all-time three pointers made. In her four years there, she had an overall record of 82-13 and won 3 Howard County Championships. After graduating, Sam went back to help coach Howard, and they went on to win the 2022-2023 3A Maryland State Championship.
